We are coming to the pointy end of the season!
Three Epping Athletes were out on the 4k run at this weeks West Met
James Palethorpe was the first home, finishing 3rd in just over 14 minutes, helping him consolidate his 3rd place in the seasons overall standings. Doug was hot on his heals, finishing in 14:40 in 9th place, and edging his way into the top stop in the open male leaderboard. And Vaughan put on a fast last lap, overtaking 3 people in the last 500m to finish in 35th place.
Next week is the State Short Course Championships at UpJohn Park. Email douglask3@hotmail.com for more info. The week after, the west met will meet at Rydalmere (map below), at 2pm. Note that this is the day before City2Surf and wil not host an 8km, just a 2 and a 4km.
