Six of Epping athletes joined 70,000 other runners for the early morning start at last Sundays City2Surf. Doug Kelley was the first runner home, finishing in a time of just over 55minutes, just 6 minutes down from last years time despite recently overcoming his 12 month knee injury. James finished a minute later, struggling for form after recovering from his June trail marathon but still finishing strong. Alex 'Matthew Hicks' Kelly made up the 3rd scoring finishing for the team, finishing in a very imprssive 65 minutes despite only signing up for the race 1 day before hand and focussing his training on sprints all winter.

Shalini Vinod got hereself a pb, finishing not long after in 1:18; Graeme Brown repted the benifits of the tough Sunday morning hill runs, squeezing undeer 90minutes; and Margaret Walker decided to race the 14km course this year, finishing in 100minutes
